HD Local Programming Available to 91% of the U.S.
DIRECTV, the #1 satellite TV provider in the nation, has improved its HD offerings again. Seven additional HD local markets have been added, bringing DIRECTV's count to 133 cities nationwide. That represents more than 90% of America's television-viewing households. Charleston-Huntington, W. Va; Huntsville-Decatur, Ala; Columbia, S.C.; Jackson, Miss; Lexington, Ky; Shreveport, La; and Roanoke-Lynchburg, Va are the new markets that DIRECTV will provide with local programming in high definition. Programming from primary broadcast networks CBS, FOX, ABC and NBC will be available in HD to DIRECTV subscribers
