David Letterman Apologizes to Palin

During last Tuesday's episode of "Late Night" on CBS, David Letterman made 'sexist insults' about Sarah Palin's teenage daughter(s). I use parenthesis because there has been some discrepancy in knowing exactly which daughter was targeted during Letterman's Top Ten list. Although it was Palin's now 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, who delivered a child this year, the Alaska Governor inferred that Letterman's remarks were aimed at her 14-year-old daughter, Willow. Since Willow is underage, these comments have created quite a stir in both entertainment and news television programming. Palin supporters nationwide have advocated for Letterman's termination, and held a protest in New York City yesterday afternoon. Perhaps that is why the late night comedian issued an official apology?

Whether it was sincere, or not, Sarah Palin has publically accepted David Letterman's apology "on behalf of all young women, like my daughters, who hope men who 'joke' about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve." Due to my political orientation, I struggle to remain unbiased during this feud. Thus, I suggest you search the Internet for a transcript of the aforementioned statements, and decide for yourself who is/was at fault.
