If you're anything like me then you're a sports fan, a golfer, and a golf fan. I can play golf as easily as I can watch it on TV, but so far this year I have found myself less interested in the televised events.
Heading in to Sunday night's awards ceremony, there was plenty of talk surround a couple of films and a handful of performances. Headlining all the Oscar buzz was the chit-chat surrounding the Best Picture category, where Avatar and The Hurt Locker were hotly contested among the press and fans alike. I saw eight of the ten Best Picture nominees at least once, and a couple of them twice or more. I truly enjoyed Precious and A Serious Man, but knew that neither would take home the statue.
